MeltinLab Barcelona, a promoter of the city’s underground startup movement, is celebrating its 9th edition with a summit event on April 4th. Creators of MeltinLab, Kevin Markowski, Matt Astarita and Jean-Philippe Zdunek are a French trio that wanted to create a venue for Barcelona’s thriving startup eco-system to meet under one roof.

After a successful series of monthly workshops since the start of 2019 – the most notable one being a 3-day run of loyalty-program workshops in collaboration with Vueling at 4YFN – MeltinLab is launching its biggest event to date in under one week.

Its goal is to provide the startup community with resources, experts, leaders and content to help grow and expand the reach of Barcelona’s startups internationally. With over 35 nationalities within its community and backed by brands like Vueling, Hays, and Regus/Spaces, the MeltinLab brand hopes to be the leading innovation hub in Barcelona city centre.

The event will open with a series of three workshops led by industry leaders. These workshops will instruct attendees on how to optimize your Facebook and Instagram Ads for making the best of your ad spend, create a brand that stands out and grows, and build leadership skills within a startup context.

But MeltinLab wouldn’t be MeltinLab without the startup pitch: MeltinLab loves a little competitive fun, pushing entrepreneurs out of their comfort zone, and highlighting the area’s up-and-coming talent and brands. Five local startups will pitch their brands in front of the 400-person audience for a prize.

The panel talks will mix experts from companies like Vueling, Capgemini, Banco Sabadell, Lastminute.com group, TravelPerk, eDreams, and Hays. In short – a ton of experts who know what it’s like to innovate and to build relationships between startups and corporates. Attendees are encouraged to come with their burning questions and something to take notes.

It’s not just the content that’s on fire – MeltinLab saw its beginnings in networking, and that’s how it will wrap up the event: wine, beer and food until late, to celebrate the event and meet Barcelona’s entrepreneurs.
